I joined getfit 121 as I was looking for a form of post baby exercise that was both outdoors, fun, sociable and flexible. The sessions are ideal as you turn up with your baby and buggy and spend an hour doing varied exercise in the fresh air around the park and pitches. The babies either sleep, watch their mums jumping around or simply enjoy the fresh air like us, and Simon is always on hand to entertain them if need be. The exercise programme is varied and open to flexibility as Simon is always ensuring it suits our ability. You can work at your own pace and build on it each week. The Getfit121 mother and baby sessions are brilliant. I love the fact that the sessions are held outside, come rain or shine and they are a great way of making friends whilst keeping fit. When I joined GetFit 121 group session on Friday morning, I didn't know what to expect. I don't do Gyms but I play some sport. I couldn't run more that about 400 yards but coming to the weekly sessions soon ad me moving, using muscles that I haven't used in years. And yes some weeks I was a bit stiff Simon works us to our ability, and out of our confort zone. Some weeks we do short burst exercises while learning about what muscles we are using. Other times we run/jog/walk around the park. I don't only lose weight but lose centimeters & I am tonning up. We train in all weathers so you have to dress accordingly but one thing Simon insist we wear each week... a smile well thats easy because we all enjoy it. As a group we support each other. Simon even trained us for the Sport Relief mile in which we raised 240 pound. I really enjoy coming & would recommend GetFit121 to anyone young or old, co come along and see for yourself. Wendy Vokes
"I'm Dora and I belong to GetFit121 Outdoor Fitness which I heard about through simon the trainer giving a talk at a weightwatcher meeting that I'm a member of. He talked about the benefits of keeping fit with 121 training to help with weight problems and assured us that neither weight age or creaky joints made any difference and anyone could become fitter. Well I'm 60+vat overweight with creaky joints and thought my days of running around a field with a trainer were over but I thought I'd give it a whirl for a couple of sessions tp prove him wrong. That was nearly six months ago and believe me I do feel fitter and healthier and I want to carry on Thank You Simon. Although Simon and the other trainer do nudge you out of your comfort zone it really is 121 and they know what each person is capable of. If someone had told me last year that this year I would be jogging round a filed in pouring rain feeling great I'd have laughed at them so if you feel you need to get fit just try it for one session and I bet you will still be at 121 outdoor fitness 6 months down the line!.
